Visitors from Afar

Life’s been pretty busy, and I doubt I’ll be giving the weblog much attention for the next two weeks.

The other Grebelites in Alberta had a potluck last Saturday. We’re hoping to make it a bit of a tradition. There are approximately a dozen our-era Grebelites in Alberta now, that we know of, and that number seems to always be increasing.

Donny and Riki are out in Calgary right now. They stayed with us the first night, and they’re going to be around until the beginning of December.

Work’s been really busy too, which is always good. (Speaking of work, Alberta’s Bill 45 passed third reading the other day, which is something that CCS has been advocating)

So, yeah, don’t be surprised if there is a lack of posts for a few weeks while I take care of some things and visit with friends. Until then, if you need a political fix, ES always provides good political commentary.

In other news, Child’s Play has raised 200k in the last 2 weeks, but there’s still a long way to go. Last year’s number (1024k, how appropriate) must be beat! I mean, really, we’ve got to take into account Moore’s Law here.

Just think, if you were in a hospital bed this Christmas, wouldn’t you be much happier playing Mario Kart?

I wouldn’t mind moving to Alberta either. Maybe a plague will wipe out our families and most of Toronto or something so we’ll have nothing tying us to Ontario.
