Wii Have a Problem

“Wii have a problem” is a blog focused on bringing you the latest trend in gaming violence. That of damaged electronic loved ones caused from Wii related activities. Why? Because we’re fanboys that’s why.

Speaking of Wiis and Miis, Stephen Colbert found a very good use for Miis and the Wii. Time to make Canadian Political Miis.

ICANN announces .ca.nation domain

November 29, 2006

Following Monday’s vote in the Canadian House of Commons where a motion passed to declare that the Quebecois form a nation within a united Canada, ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers released a new domain suffix to avoid future disputes over the use of the .ca domain for inter-Canadian nations.

The new .ca.nation domain will be available on January 1, 2007, starting with the already-reserved quebecois.ca.nation domain. Sub-level domains can be requested by the registrant of the top-level .ca.nation domains, if indeed the group requesting also form a nation.

Analysts believe that a subsequent series of sub-level domains will clog the tubes that make up the internets, adding that it will not be long before we see domains such as techsupport.IT.employees.[company].downtown.Calgarians.Albertans.ca.nation.

Disclaimer: the above was only a joke. Please don’t sue me.

Hanging by a thread

After yesterday’s byelections, we end up with a House divided with 153 seats for the Liberal-NDP group, and 153 seats for the Conservative-Bloc group, with 2 independents controlling the final two votes.

Green Party leader Elizabeth May was second in the race for the seat in London. It is traditional that when a party leader runs in a byelection, the other parties do not run candidates. However, given that the Greens have never held a seat in the House, that tradition was not employed this time… Had she won, however, it would have given some good momentum to the Greens, winning a riding that has been Liberal for almost two decades…

And, of course, the ‘big news’ is that the Government Motion to recognize the Quebecois as a nation passed with only 16 people voting against. No real surprise there, since all parties agreed to support it…

A Nation

… and I declare Montréal to be a nation within a nation within a united Canada. And McGill to be a nation within a nation within a nation within a united Canada.

Hell, every man, woman, and child is a nation within a United Canada.

Every molecule belonging to an entity which is legally defined as a citizen of Canada is a nation within an infinite number of nations within a United Canada.
